How we calculate this
- Screen height is set from the farthest viewer: one sixth of that distance for presentations and video, one quarter for detailed text and drawings, and about one third for movies.
- The screen is then limited by your ceiling (bottom edge about 1 m from the floor, 0.6 m for home cinema) and wall width, and rounded down to a standard size.
- The front row sits at least twice the screen height away. Rows are spaced 0.95 m apart with a centre aisle.
- Brightness targets about 20 foot-lamberts in a dark room, 40 with some lights on and 75 in daylight, divided by screen gain, with 20% headroom for lamp or laser ageing.
- Throw distance uses typical lens ranges: 1.3 to 1.9 for standard, 0.5 to 0.8 for short throw and 0.25 to 0.38 for ultra-short throw. Exact figures depend on the model.
- These are planning estimates. A Sureka specialist confirms every figure before you buy.
